15 weeks, 5 days. February 26, 2015.

This week, our baby is about the size of an orange, 4" and approximately 2.5 ounces.
Everything is going really well!

My main symptom this week is lower back pain around my tailbone, due to Relaxin Hormone changes (I thought it was called "Relaxing hormone" when I heard people talking about it, but it really doesnt feel relaxing at all). Here's some information on what's happening: http://life.gaiam.com/article/natural-pregnancy-cures-back-pelvic-and-hip-pain. I feel uncomfortable sitting for long periods of time. When I can lie down I feel relief.

Clothes: Im still wearing most of my stretchy work pants, lulus when I get home and maternity jeans on Fridays at work (without the huge ugly band).  My belly hasnt "popped" yet. I was hoping that it might (it does for most women around 15-17 weeks) before going to Mexico on March 1 (2 more days!!). I just feel thick. Either way, Im healthy and feel great!

My whole family is going to Mexico together, this next week. I am thrilled that this is happening and that we're all able to go on this vacation together! Mom, Dad, Kylie, Cam, Chase and Jersey will all be meeting us at the Marival in Nuevo Vallarta http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Hotel_Review-g154267-d1725906-Reviews-Marival_Resort_Suites-Nuevo_Vallarta_Pacific_Coast.html for a week!

It wont seem like such a long time to wait, after we get back from our trip on March 8th, to find out the gender of our baby. We find out on March 19th, I cant wait! Meanwhile, we have had many guesses on Nub forums who think that we're having a girl (I too, feel like Im growing a girl :)  ). Sonographers who claim to be "experts" have also guessed that our baby is a girl.

Cravings: I still dont have any cravings. I love cold things though, like ice water, and ice cream. I also love McDonalds, but that's nothing new, haha. I resist.

I was feeling insecure about my pregnancy and cautious about the health of our baby this week. I have been so well and havent had many symptoms or changes, and after years of infertility have more or different concerns than a typical new pregnant mom. I used my home doppler to check the babies heart beat. It's so beautiful, and reassuring to hear, see below:

Babies Heart Beat:

Why Does my belly get bigger when baby is still so low?

Ive been wondering why my belly is growing while baby is still so low. I can feel my uterus low in my pubic area still, and check babies heart beat in that area as well, yet my belly is increasing above. I was wondering why. This is a great visual:
