Our baby is the size of a prune, around 1.2 inches, and 14 oz!
This week has been a little more stressful, due to a few minor health issues. On Tuesday I experienced a silent or ocular migraine (http://www.allaboutvision.com/conditions/ocular-migraine.htm) while I was at work. This happened to me at the beginning of January as well, while we were in Quesnel. Both instances lasted approximately 1 hour. I experienced blurred and somewhat double vision, the feeling of vertigo (nausea, dizzy). Im grateful that it's only temporary and to figure out what it is. I was concerned, but it doesn't seem to be of concern and goes away on it's own. I feel crazy and out of sorts while it is happening.
Yesterday I experienced a scant amount of spotting 1x. I was very worried, I phoned my midwife (Im so thankful to be able to phone our midwife when I have concerns). She informed me that it could be implantation bleeding, which is normal in early pregnancy. I didnt have any further symptoms, thank goodness.
I am fortunate that my work, and colleagues are flexible and supportive. I was able to hide out in my office to process everything, take a breather. I have many positive supports; Dennis, friends, family, and midwife. I am lucky!
Aside from the minor issues that occurred this week, I am doing well! I have no nausea, I am a more tired in the evenings, and have increased appetite. I pack a larger lunch to work, including 2 sandwiches sometimes; I find that I need to graze, eating snacks often.
I still havent "popped" but I expect that my belly will pop within the next 2-3 weeks. I am definitely thicker in the middle though and have a little bump.
My clothes, especially my pants arent fitting as well. I have purchased some in-between pants from Rickis, and RW&Co which have a flexible, pull-up waist band. They are much more comfortable for me to wear to work! I could get away with wearing Lululemons to work, but I prefer to keep those for the evenings and weekends.
Our nursery is coming along nicely! I feel much happier with the state in our house. The nursery is uncluttered, and looks beautiful so far. The wall color, Yukon Sky that I chose 5 years ago when we bought and painted our house looks great and will work for either gender. My $700 kijiji deal on the crib, change table, glider and dresser was well spent! Dennis & I have done a lot of work this week (mainly Dennis, on "Man Time"- Thank you Thank you). We have gotten rid of our old bedroom furniture (thank you Aunty & family!), as well as many of my old clothes. Dennis has reorganize the basement, including our storage room. The house feels much cleaner and organized to me, Im less anxious about our space. I also feel less anxious after discontinuing the extra progesterone & estrone supplements last week (yay!).
I dont really have any cravings or aversions.
We dont have any appointments now until Feb 3, for our 12 week ultrasound, and Feb 5th for our meet and greet and ultrasound review with our lovely midwife, Caroline.
Thanks for following, for your love and support.
