This week, baby is about the size of a head of iceberg lettuce, about 1.5-2.5 lbs. This week has been easy breezy, and lovely. Another great week of pregnancy! I am so blessed!
I have come to Quesnel to be with my family, which has been so lovely! I am so grateful for the time and flexibility that I have right now in my life for the opportunity to be with my family. Plus the weather in Quesnel has been 25 plus all week, it feels like a holiday to be here. It has been such a joy and pleasure, as always to spend time with Jersey and Chase! Jersey is interested, fascinated and in love with our little baby girl. I am so in love with her, and our family.
Mom and Dad, and I will travel to Calgary together next week for Trinity's graduation.
We have 3 medical appointments when I return to Calgary. We have an ultrasound on May 26 to see if the placenta has moved, an OBGYN appointment, with Doctor Caddy at the South Health Campus on May 27 and a midwife appointment on May 28th. I am grateful that we have so much support and a great team of professions in our circle.
I feel the baby kick and move much more often now. Sometimes is startling when she kicks or moves. I can see my belly move, and others can feel her movements too, which is cool. I don't have any discomfort or pain. My fingers and feet are a bit swollen. My engagement ring no longer fits, although my wedding band does, as well, my Toms no longer fit (too narrow and tight now).
This past Mothers Day (last weekend) was special and emotional for me. I have waited, and wanted this for years, and am rejoicing and relishing the opportunity to be pregnant and to have such a healthy pregnancy and baby. I am so grateful, its overwhelming at times. Dennis brought me out for a Mothers Day breakfast on Saturday, I went to Cirque with Dennis family (all of the women went out). Sunday I hosted a Mothers Day breakfast at our house, Adine, Shelley & Ryan came over. In the evening we went to Dennis grandparents house for a get-together.
Thanks again for following along.
